May 19: “Art, Music and the Creative Spirit”, Rev. Amy Brooks

The creative spirit is a powerful one — life-giving, and even life-saving. Rev. Amy Brooks will be joined by poets, musicians, dancers, and congregational artists of all stripes.

Our service begins at 11 a.m. in the Lodge at Woodlawn School, just north of Davidson. Find us.

  • Nursery for ages 0-PreK starting at 10:45 a.m, in the classroom adjacent to the Lodge.
  • Religious Exploration for children, grades K-1 and 2-5, leaving the service after story time.
  • Religious Exploration for adults, 9:45 a.m.
  • Children’s Music Class will be held this week at 9:45 a.m. for ages 5 and up (4 with an adult). Adults may sit in on the class or attend the adult RE discussion.

May 12: Mother’s Day Service

Join us as we celebrate Mother’s Day. Following the service we will have an ice cream social – with the dads doing the dipping.

May 5: “Living Through The Darkness”, Rev. Tricia G. Lytle

Rev. Tricia G. Lytle, chaplain at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville, will speak to us about looking for the light in the midst of the darkness.  Hard times can happen, you can be sad, but lightness will come, and we will be happy again.

April 28: “Above Us Only Sky”, Discussion

A group discussion of some of life’s “big questions” from a humanist perspective, led by Rodger Clark. Answers not guaranteed – but great conversation is!

  • Religious Exploration for children, grades K-1 and 2-5, leaving the service after story time.
  • Religious Exploration for adults, 9:45 a.m. Come join us in conversation, no preparation required.
  • Children’s music class with our Music Director, Theresa Woody, and drummer Kamel Bouchoucha, continues this week at 9:45 a.m. Ages 5 and up (fours welcome with an adult). Parents are welcome to stay or to attend the adult RE discussion. After this week, the next class will be May 12.

And remember, this afternoon 3:30-5:30 p.m. is our potluck picnic at Latta Plantation Nature Preserve in Huntersville.
