April 7: “Compassion: Wisdom from Buddhism”, Rev. Amy Brooks

Compassion for suffering is at the heart of Buddhist teaching. It was compassion for others that set the Buddha on his quest for enlightenment. Let’s explore this great teaching.

Our service begins at 11 a.m. in the Lodge at Woodlawn School, just north of Davidson. Find us.

  • Nursery for ages 0-PreK starting at 10:45 a.m, in the classroom adjacent to the Lodge.
  • Religious Exploration for children, grades K-1 and 2-5, leaving the service after story time.
  • Religious Exploration for adults, 9:45 a.m.
  • Coffee and Conversation, 9:45 a.m. Curious about UU in general or UUFLKN in particular? Considering membership? Come by and chat!
