February 17: “The Importance of Being Seen: Wisdom from Hinduism”, Rev. Amy Brooks

Hinduism is a religion that relies on the senses, particularly sight. Darsan means “seeing” and devotees go to the temples in order to see and be seen by the gods. What does this aspect of Hinduism offer us, curious to learn from other traditions and “see”-kers on our own spiritual path? How important is it to us to see and be seen?

Our service begins at 11 a.m. in the Lodge at Woodlawn School, just north of Davidson. Find us.

  • Nursery for ages 0-PreK starting at 10:45 a.m, in the classroom adjacent to the Lodge.
  • Religious Exploration for children, grades K-1 and 2-5, leaving the service after story time.
  • Religious Exploration for adults, 9:45 a.m. Further discussion of Enneagram personality-typing tests. No advance reading or study is required, please come join in!
