July 29: Multi-generational worship and service project for Ada Jenkins LEARN Works

Join us as we act on our mission of “Living our beliefs through works”. Bring the entire family along for multi-generational worship and service project. The Social Action Committee is organizing a ‘bookbag stuffing’ for our fifth Sunday service on July 29th. We are working with the Ada Jenkins Center to provide bookbags and needed academic materials for a group of 15 rising 6th graders who will attend Bradley Middle School next year. These kids attended Cornelius and Davidson Elementary Schools and have been a part of the LEARN Works after school program at Ada Jenkins and will continue the program next year.  Children are welcome and encouraged to join in the festivities.

Our service begins at 11 a.m. in the Lodge at Woodlawn School, just north of Davidson. Find us.

And a reminder – we will have a Water Communion service on August 26. Whether you travel to far-off places or stick close to home, collect a bit of water and plan to bring it to participate in our end-of-summer ingathering service.
