June 19: Fathers and Remembrance, Dan Aldridge

Dan Aldridge, professor of history at Davidson College and member of UUFKLN, will join with other men of the congregation, leading our Father’s Day service and speaking on “Fathers and Remembrance”.

Our service begins at 11 a.m. in the Lodge at Woodlawn School, just north of Davidson. Find us.

  • Nursery for ages 0-3 starting at 10:45 a.m, in the classroom adjacent to the Lodge.
  • Faith Development for children.  During the summer, structured activities are provided for ages 4-10, starting after story time during the service, in the classroom two doors down from the Lodge.
  • Faith Development for adults will resume in the fall.

Mark your calendars:

  • The Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly is meeting in Charlotte next week, June 22-26. Three of our members will be attending. A few sessions are open to the public (the Service of the Living Tradition on Thursday evening, the Sunday Morning Worship, and, on Sunday only, the Exhibit Hall), and some will be streamed online.
  • Our summer picnic at the lake is coming up the afternoon & evening of Saturday, June 25. Watch your email for more details.
