The UU Fellowship of Lake Norman is pleased to cosponsor an appearance by the Rt. Rev. John Shelby Spong, Retired Episcopal Bishop of Newark. He will speak on the topic “Can Christianity Survive the Prejudice of Christians? A Revolution in Faith and Ethics.”
Bishop Spong is the author of several books including The Sins of Scripture: Exposing the Bible’s Texts of Hate to Discover the God of Love. Further information about Bishop Spong is available on his website.
The talk will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the C. Shaw Smith 900 Room of the Alvarez College Union, Davidson College. The event is open to the public with no admission charge.
